Konstantin Dimopoulos

Designated Collaborative Artist by the Public Art Council of the United States

Konstantin Dimopoulos' powerful and often thought-provoking art practice has garnered international attention. The artist specializes in investigating globally relevant issues related to ecology and the human condition.

In 2001, he was one of the only artists commissioned by the Linton Sculpture Foundation to create "Pacific Meadows";
In 2004, Dimopoulos was invited to create the sculpture Kete for the Connells Bay Sculpture Centre in Waiheke Island, New Zealand;
Dimopoulos has created sculptures for public and private collections in Australia, New Zealand, the United States[9] and the United Arab Emirates; the Public Art Commission in the United States appointed a collaborating artist.

Birdcloud
Birdcloud uses birds as messengers to explore collective memory, memes and narratives of mass communication. The idea of chirping birds rising and forming masses evokes a flight of information and ideas that together help unite and mobilize factions. Like our memories, bird clouds continue to hover above our daily lives, and the line between virtual and physical space becomes increasingly blurred.

Red Cloud
Red Cloud is a kinetic sculpture. Focusing on the mystery of the "legend of creation", the work invites people to engage with it from their own unique perspective. It provokes emotion, reflection and contextualization without the constraints of dogmatic reference. The sculptural structure is composed of a galvanized metal structure with "sequin" panels - red discs depicting a dancer rising through the red and orange landscape above, glowing with color. At night, the sculpture will be illuminated, making it appear to rise or float above the landscape.
